A Rainbow of Flowers

Just something I threw together with thoughts of how my day has been and ended. Everyday is always filled with a blessing or two. -Passion

Rain falling from the sky;
heavy laden clouds
of multiple shades of gray,
filled with life's sustaining nourishment...
Not only for the land,
but the human soul as well.

Darkened scenes- a dismal day;
soaked to the bone
carrying a splash of colors.
Brillient shades of pinks, yellows and reds;
all perched on stems of various greens.
Love displayed by thoughtfulness...

It's not the words
that could be said;
cherriness and gestures
in a dark dismal day.
Beautiful colors of what's in the heart,
a rainbow of flowers...

Oh wow I have felt these words a lot of late. Rain rain and more rain. Have showers out now. lol Absolutely Love that last verse.

Thank you Sari for your comment. My husband worked for the city and took care of the public cemetaries- he'd bring me stray flowers that were meant to go into the trash while they were blooming beautifully. He'd tell me, "these are meant to be enjoyed by the living, and not the landfill! I'm sure the poor soul doesn't mind sharing them with you." It was always the thought that counted most to me. One day, when it was a dismal, dark one and my spirits were low- I was presented with these magnificent colors! That's what prompted this poem....

Boli- it was such a dark and dismal day, the day I wrote this...... thank you for noticing the contrast- it's what I meant to do in my words....
